kpop

Kpop- (an abbreviation of Korean pop or Korean popular music) is a musical genre consisting of electronichip hoppoprock, and R&B music originating in South Korea. In addition to music, K-pop has grown into a popular subculture among teenagers and young adults around the world, resulting in widespread interest in the fashion and style of Korean idol groups and singers.


Super junior
Super Junior (Korean슈퍼주니어 Japaneseスーパージュニア), often referred to as SJ or SuJu (슈주), is a popular boy band from South Korea formed byS.M. Entertainment in 2005. The group debuted with 12 members: Leeteuk (Leader), HeechulHan GengYesungKanginShindongSungminEunhyuk,DonghaeSiwonRyeowookKibum and later added a 13th member named Kyuhyun; they are one of the largest boy bands in the world. As of 2010, 10 members are active, due to Han Geng's lawsuit with SM Entertainment which led to him leaving the group (now pursuing his own singing career in the Mandarin-Pop entertainment industry), Kangin's temporary leave of absence for mandatory military service and Kibum's pursuit of an acting career.However, the other members have insisted that the three (Kangin, Kibum and Han Geng) are still part of the group, the group also mentioned that they are saddened by Han Geng's departure from the group.

Shinee (샤이니, stylized as SHINee, pronounced /ˈʃaɪniː/ "shiny" Japanese: シャイニー) is a contemporary R&B South Korean boy band.[1] Formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2008, they made their debut on May 23, 2008 on SBS's Inkigayo with their promotional single, "Noona Neomu Yeppeo (Replay)" ("누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay)", lit. "Older Girl, You're So Pretty (Replay)"). The group consists of OnewJonghyunKeyMinho and Taemin.
Since their debut, Shinee has released two full-length albums, three mini-albums, and various singles. They have also won many awards, held a concert tour and starred in their own reality shows. Shinee is considered to be a fashion icon having started the "Shinee Trend".[2] They made their Japanese debut in May 2011 by releasing a Japanese version of their single, "Replay

Girls' Generation (Korean소녀시대Hanja/Kanji少女時代Sonyeo SidaeShōjo Jidai) is a nine-member South Korean girl group formed byS.M. Entertainment in 2007. The nine members are: TaeyeonJessicaSunnyTiffanyHyoyeonYuriSooyoungYoona and Seohyun. They are often referred to as SoShi (소시Hanja少時), or SNSD, the first of which is an abbreviation and the second, mainly used outside Korea, is an acronym of the group's Korean name So Nyuh Shi Dae.
The group has released two Korean full albums, three Korean mini-albums, one Japanese full album and various singles. Their 2009 hit single "Gee" holds the record for being the longest running No.1 song on KBS's Music Bank, having held the No.1 chart ranking for -9 consecutive weeks. Gee was named song of the decade by the Korean music site, Melon.[1] The group also won various awards in 2009 and 2010, including consecutive Artist of the Year (Daesang) awards at the Seoul Music AwardsGolden Disk Awards, Melon Music Awards, and the Korean Cultural Entertainment Awards.
The group began a foray into the Japanese music scene in late 2010 under Nayutawave Records, a part of Universal Music, with the Japanese remakes of their 2009 Korean hits "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)" and "Gee".[2] 2009 saw the group reach considerable success in Korea after winning the prestigious Disk Daesang (Album of the Year), Seoul Music Awards, and Melon Music Awards respectively.
